The Ones You Never Notice

There are some men you hardly ever notice. The guys in the background, or the semi-famous guy that makes you wonder "who is that?". Well, here is my selection of people that perhaps lots of you have heard of, and at least one person you all should know about. These guys may not be for everyone, but in my opinion, they are just as good looking as Paul Newman and George Clooney.

Let's start off easy! Mike Rowe. I'm sure some of you know him from Discovery Channel's hit series Dirty Jobs. He takes on the nastiest jobs you could think of and lives a day in the life of "hard working americans who make civilized life possible for the rest of us." He is an amazing television personality and will probably be on TV for as long as he possibly can sell himself out. He has hosted the show After the Catch, which is a show based on Discovery's reality series Deadliest Catch. He has done lots more, but those were the things that interest me. (Deadliest Catch will appear later in this post, so hold keep reading if you like rowdy, young, all american boys.)
Back to Mike, he is big, tan and gorgeous. He is entertaining and has an incredibly dirty sense of humor that kind of makes him a creepy old man. Yes, he is 49, and looks fabulous for his age. He has a website that I think all Mike Rowe/Dirty Jobs fans should check out, MikeRoweWorks
The beauty of Mike Rowe is that he does most things for himself, he apparently works his website from his kitchen table (or so I've heard), and he is a very kind and outgoing celebrity who works to create awareness about going green (or brown as he says). He is just an awesome man who just happens to look amazing. I just love him and I think everyone else should too!

Moving on.
Ryan Dunn, famous from MTV's Jackass. Yes, all Dunn fans should know that he recently passed away in a tragic, and very avoidable car accident. He was an adorable person who won my heart with his slightly innocent approach to most stunts forced upon him. His beard and tattoos helped too. He was my favorite Jackass star and will forever be so. Many of his wonderful quotes won the hearts of girls all over the world. Here is a selection of my favorite quotes:
“I'm Ryan Dunn, and I'm surrounded by morons."
“Bam:Let's see if we can rock and knock this thing over.
Ryan:Yeah, thats how I wanted to spend my afternoon... dead.”
“I have to be horrible at everything or else it wouldn't be me.”
“I'm not running anywhere with a toy car shoved up my butt.”
"Im Ryan Dunn and this is a STUPID idea rolling down a hill."
All I can say is rest in peace, Ryan Dunn. He will be missed and watching Jackass will never be the same without him.
Paul Bettany. Now, I must admit, I don't have any relationship to his looks besides from the movie Master and Commander, where he plays the role of Dr. Stephen Maturin. There was something about the combination of his character and his looks in that movie that won my heart as a kid. There is nothing more to say about him really, except for his charming and uncommon looks and his awesome costumes throughout the movie.
Keeping up the old school type of beauty, Glenn Gould. The canadian pianist who, in my opinion is the most gorgeous pianist to ever have lived on this earth. He is unfortunately dead, but his talent still lives on. He kind of hated playing in concert, and he was quite weird, but in an awesome way. He was slightly obsessive, or so they said. I also heard that he knew lots of people, but was a very lonely person. He doesn't really look like anyone I was intending to add in this post, much like Paul Bettany, but hey, I'm sure they both go under that category "The Ones You Never Notice".
Now real, dirty, hard working men (just like Mike Rowe)
Zack Larson, works for his father Bill Wichrowski "Wild Bill" on the crab fishing vessel, Kodiak. The boat is featured on Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch, which is one of my all time favorite shows.
The beauty of Zack is that he is so real. He works on his father's boat, but is really a paramedic. He is normal, attractive and funny. He seems slightly shy in front of his fans, which is adorable, and he has fantastic facial hair. Oh, and he looks tall too! And he rocks a little bit of chest hair, which is never a bad thing.
He is awesome because he shows that just because he is a crab fisherman at the moment, doesn't mean that he is all gnarly. Well, not as gnarly as they can get. Yes, I have seen things online that could indicate that he likes to have a drink or two, and he seems to do well with the other fishermen, but thank God he hasn't got himself a pair of snake-skin boots yet!
And don't tell he he doesn't look great with that Alaska-beard of his.
Now, the very last one, and my personal favorite.

Crosby Leveen, deckhand on the Wizard, a crab fishing vessel also featured on the reality show Deadliest Catch. He is from Manchester, Maine, and is, as far as I've understood, a commercial fisherman by trade. His good looks is a  combination between his curly hair, great smile and height. There is something about the way he dresses that just makes him seem so laid back and real. He didn't appear on the latest season of Deadliest Catch, but he did go out fishing on the Wizard that crab season, the cameras were just not on the boat at the time. He has tried to make his own show as well, a fishing/travel show called Live to Fish. The pilot is available on Youtube. Click to watch!

I must admit that I personally like him when he looks a little dirty, the picture to the left was taken on the Wizard and is of him and deckhand Lynn Guitard, who isn't the ugliest guy either. Perhaps I'll feature him in an other post.

Here is one last picture of him before I stop typing.
Enjoy!

How could you say no to that smile?

a doubt, you've hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. I'm very happy that I stumbled across this during my search for
